Welcome to the AGEFRIENDLY DESIGN Project!
The number of older persons has increased substantially in recent years in most countries and regions, and that growth is projected to accelerate in the coming decades. Similarly, older workers are a growing part of the workforce. An increasing proportion of people aged over 55 remain in the workforce. This is driven in part by economic necessity and legislative changes, but also increasingly by citizens’ desires to remain professionally active and socially connected after 65. The Prevention Occupational Risks in workplaces through the training in Ergonomics could avoid certain musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) which have a high impact in aged people.
AGEFRIENDLY‐DESIGN aims to provide training in ergonomics criteria to be easier identifying potential problems and find effective solutions to avoid MSDs on aged people at workplaces.
